About us
Crobucha Kombucha was created out of a love for authentic flavors, a desire to provide a healthy, refreshing sparkling drink, and to strengthen the community by supporting local producers. According to our recipe, we use only fresh herbs and fruits, sustainably grown on Croatian islands. The story of Crobucha began 10 years ago when our founder Vladimir discovered kombucha during his studies in the USA. The taste immediately reminded him of the fermented drinks from his Ukrainian childhood, which inspired him to start a kombucha production project using Adriatic herbs upon his return to Croatia in 2019. This combination proved to be the perfect blend of flavor and health. He established a small brewery in Zagreb to realize his vision of small-batch, handmade production.
What motivates us
Authenticity, transparency, sustainability, and socio-ecological awareness are the principles shaping every step of our work. We believe in creating products that reflect our connection to nature and the community. Our passion lies not only in creating a delicious and healthy drink but also in supporting small local communities and entrepreneurs. Our goal is to develop long-term, mutually supportive collaborations with small producers, family farms (OPGs), associations, creative restaurateurs, shops, and all those who share a love for their community and healthy habits. We believe in their vision as they believe in ours, and together we create an authentic product that reflects the best of our region and our sense of community. Our inspiration comes from the desire to create something that is more than just a drink – products that nurture digestion, support health, and respect nature.
Where are we today?
We continue to build on the foundations laid at the start. We are focused on small-batch production to maintain the quality and authenticity of the flavors you love and enjoy. We are exploring new flavors and continuing to collaborate with small producers and eco-friendly growers. Our permanent production facility is located in Zagreb, and thanks to your support, our team is slowly growing, for which we are deeply grateful. With over 100,000 bottles sold in the past four years, Crobucha Kombucha has created a community of satisfied fans of natural and authentic products. In 2024, we decided to define our look more clearly, better communicate our values, and introduce a design that reflects who we are – the flavors of the Adriatic. We look forward to every bottle we prepare and to sharing our passion for quality and sustainability with everyone.
